As founder and president of the company, Joy Anderson Kimball is a leader marked by genuine concern for the community. Since Anderson & Associates began in 1977, Joy has given vision to the development of the company and its place in the community of Chico. She enjoys the challenge that comes with learning the different industries of each client. For many companies, Anderson & Associates is their HR department, or at least an extension of their HR department, and this requires the company to stay on top of any laws that affect the employment relationship. She is devoted to staffing appropriate employees in their respective industries.

Joy completed her BA at Whitworth College in Spokane, WA, and eventually relocated to Chico. In commitment to the community, she’s been active in several organizations. Joy has been a member of the Chico Chamber since 1977; she received the Athena Award in 2002 and the J. Pat Lappin Award in 2004. Since 1991, she has been a member of the Chico Rotary, serving on the Board and chairing various committees. This past year she completed 12 years as a Trustee for Enloe Medical Center and was honored by being designated Trustee Emeritus. She is also a member of CEPCO which is a private organization dedicated to economic development in the Chico area.
